Definition

Someone recently asked Mummi the definition of a Woodeech. Well, if it isn't obvious just by looking at me, I thought I'd give a more detailed explanation for the truly oblivious.

Woodeech: Black/brindle in color, very soft with a terrier-like coat, big thoughtful brown eyes, endless energy, infatuation for all things male, a great deal of sensitivity (think "delicate flower"), a touch of wickedness, a weakness for Auntie's shoes, abundant dose of enthusiasm, a phobia of vacuums, a love of all things having to do with horses (barns, manure, pastureland to romp and play in, long rides, horse feed, etc.), the comrade of Bears, genius of the family, Comedian.

That should at least get you started toward a more articulate understanding of a Woodeech.

Preparing for baby

Hi.

"Now, Mummi, what do we use this for? And, when is he going to be here?"

Torture

I'm sure all of you have heard that we finally got settled into our new home. Mummi and Daddi have assigned us guardianship of the abode so we are on full-time duty. It's a big job but we're definitely cut out for the task! Valiant covers the sliding glass door and I cover the window in front of my chaise lounge chair. We take turns if we hear anything in the back of the house.

There is, however, one major problem... we are being tortured in our newly assigned positions. "Pip", the chipmunk, waits for us every morning... pausing just outside the sliding glass door until he catches a glimpse of us. Then, he does a little song and dance right in front of us and no matter what we say or how loudly we say it, he just prances around flaunting his independence. Perhaps only my fellow canine comrades can understand the agony of this torture?

Sick Day

I took a sick day from work all week - okay maybe I took a sick week, but who's counting? The doctor said I have bladder stones. I thought my food seemed a little crunchy lately; now we know it was because there were stones in it! Mummi said I got the stones from my water, but I know that's not true... silly Mummi. I would KNOW if I was drinking stones.

Now, I get a special diet and yummy pills covered in cheese morning and night for the next month. I'm digging these doctor's orders! I don't know why everyone is so down on sick days!

Baby Photos

Many of you may have heard that Madison and I are going to be introducing a new member of our family in a few months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited I run around in circles as fast as I can, jumping on and off the couch and barking as loudly as possible when I think about it. Madison is taking a much more casual (cautious?) approach - well, you know how shy bears can be. There is potential danger in all change, so she's just going to hang out and wait to see how she likes the new baby the Mummi and Daddi will be giving us.

So, in the spirit of babies, we've decided to post some baby pics from the past! We hope you enjoy. Love, Valiant Wunder McGary

PS! We're going to decorate the baby's room in photos of all our favorite furry buddies when they were babies so if you have a great baby photo of your furry friend, PLEASE send it to Mummi!
