The Creative Mind(s) at Work
Valiant and I have been thinking and writing a lot these past few days. There is just so much to be said and too much to done. We're pretty close to solving all of the world's ills.
Our conclusion: More fairies and less fighting. That's just the synopsis because of course there are several important things to be included such as lots of family cuddle time, long walks to relieve stress, peanut butter kong toys to restore energy, and "psycho baby" moments (run around the house and act crazy) whenever you're feeling pent up, to name a few. Well, I'm off to do more thinking and Valiant is off to find some more pens.

Helping Mummi
Valiant was a huge help this afternoon while Mummi and I were working in the "garden" on our porch. She's earned the nickname "Weedwacker" over the past few months, after lunching on a few of Mummi's leafy friends, but she's starting to learn manners and is pretty trustworthy as long as we're both watching her.
After all our hard work, though, she was pretty wiped out.

Bear and Otter
People say we look more and more alike as we get older. Can you tell which one is Valiant and which one is me?
It should be obvious: I'm the one who looks like a bear.
So you might wonder about the title of this entry... We've decided that Valiant is definitely part otter because she loves water,
plays on her back and uses her
paws for everything. Would that make her a "Scotter"?

That Lovin' Feeling
Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I just love my daddi. It's really important to have cuddle time with the ones you love and I try to model that everyday.
I decided to sing him a little song:
Ain't No Mountain High Enough
If you need me, call me.
No matter where you are,
No matter which room.
Just call my name.
I'll be there in a hurry.
On that you can depend
and never worry.
You see, I'm very devoted
It's like a bear that only needs
A word from you, to come.
So if you feel the need for company,
Please, my daddi, let it be me.
I may not be able to express
The depth of how much I love to cuddle,
But my mommi put it very nicely
When she described how I love cuddling.
We sat down and wrote these words:
No wind, no rain,
Nor winter's cold
Can stop me, Dad
If you're my goal
No wind, no rain,
Can stop me, Dad
If you wanna know
I know, I know you must go down to work
Too long each day
But remember
If you should need some time to cuddle
Remember bear holds for you one guarantee
You'll always have me
And if you should need to cuddle
One of these old days
If you should ever miss the charms
That always make you so happy, or the eyes
That tell you how much I love you so
Just remember what I told you
This day I write this song
Ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough (Say it again)
Ain't no Valiant wild enough
To keep me from lovin' you

It's hard to be a celebrity
but somebody's gotta' do it.
I just recently realized how popular I am and I've got to tell you that being a celebrity is sometimes hard to bear. Whenever I'm out walking with my mummi and Val, somebody will inevitably stop us and want my pawgraph. That's tough when a girl just wants to go for a walk to maintain the bearnificent figure, you know? Valiant just makes matters worse because she's always so excited to meet new people that she encourages their interruptions. And why do they always think that just because I have a shiny black coat and fluffy curls, I want to be petted?
And last, but not least... need I mention the "little people"? They can't keep their hands off of me! Growl.

And then I don't feel so bad
Whiskers on Scotties
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on Scotties
Bright lasers shining and warm fuzzy black paws
Cuddle time with mummi and daddi too
These are a few of my favorite things
Brown blankets wrapped up 'round squirming black Valiant
Aunties and Uncles and our family friends
Happy times spent chasing ball in the yard
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in pink collars with shiny gold nametags
Raindrops that fall and make puddles to splash in
Pretty brown horse to give peppermints to
These are a few of my favorite things
When the Val bites
When the bear sings
When I'm feeling sad
I run over and pull the oven towel down
And then I don't feel so bad
[Repeat all verses]
