In case you missed it...

This is a fabulous comment that my grampa posted for me...

AIR BEARS SIGHT SUPER FAIRY!
Dateline: Denver, Call-oh-raddo

Its a bird...its a plane...NO...ITS SUUUPER FAIRY!

My silvery airliner glided through the stratosphere this fine morning, winging its way from Sue Falls to Den Ver...I chanced to look out the window to see the most bright and enormous fairy EVER gliding along beneath us, keeping perfect time with our silvery aeroliner--the fairy was most bright, skittering and skipping through the thinnest of cloud layers below us. So thin, indeed, that I had not even noticed it until the FAIRY blossomed before my very eyes! Of course, there was not a bear to be seen on the plane, so I used my quickest wits and slammed home the call button--once advised of the situation, the flight attendant manned the intercom and urged us ALL to get in touch with our inner bear; we all did so swiftly, becoming virtual woolie bully bears, soaking up the sheer glory of the radiant fairy without! Lucky thing, too; after a few minutes of bearly basking in the silvery sprite, the plane turned but the fairy, well...the fairy went on her way.

I'm famous

Did you know that there was a street in NYC named after me? I knew I was a famous bear, but I'll be honest... I didn't know I was THAT famous! Auntie took this photo (proof!) so that everyone would see that it's true.

Well, I guess somebody has to "bear" the fame... might as well be me.

Waiting

We've been sitting here, waiting for fall to come, and we're super excited because we think it might be here! Yippee!

Cool weather means lots of cuddling with the fam, hot chocolate in the mornings, longer hikes, CHRISTMAS coming soon, and mummi's pumpkin bread to snack on. But, probably most important to note, fairies love cold weather! That means more sightings for fairy lovers!

I Dream of Fairy

Last night I was peacefully sleeping and dreaming of red fairies flying all around. I was chasing them in my dream and Mummi said that I was running in my sleep, too. It was so exciting!

Then... suddenly I was startled awake by Valiant puppi and I nearly chomped her out of fright and exasperation (okay, maybe I did chomp her just a little, but I was rather gracious, under the circumstances). Valiant is fine, but I bet she thinks twice about waking a big black bear from its slumber again - especially when fairies are involved.

Bearly Holding On

My friend, Amar, sent me an amazing true story today about a bear (like me) who had a very scary incident. The article is titled "A Bear of Very Little Brains...." but I think that's rather unfair(y) for two reasons:
  1. The bear probably is shy, because bears are born that way. That doesn't make the bear stupid, just unsociable. I'm shy, so I'm speaking as an expert in this area.
  2. The bear probably wasn't running away from cars, but was running after a fairy! Fairies can fly, you know, so I bet it followed a fairy right off the bridge. Bears love fairies and fairies love to fly, which means bears (since they can't fly) sometimes get into trouble while chasing fairies. (See my past post, "Riding in Cars with Fairies.")
So, that is my professional (as a bear) opinion.
