Lions, Retrievers and Bears... Oh my!

A warm fuzzy hello to all Bear fans out there.

Well, during our family cuddle time this past week, we've been discussing personality types, based off of four animals: Lions, Otters, Golden Retrievers and Beavers. Daddi and Val are definitely Lions (though, of course, we all know that Val is a "delicate flower" who sometimes wilts when she's in trouble, so we call her our "little baby wilting lion"). Daddi is a big roaring lion with a particular soft spot for Bears. Mummi is a Golden Retriever, which means we can always count on her to be there for us, even when we chew up her dish towels, because she's loyal.

We also decided there is a fifth category, which they failed to mention: Bears (of course). Here is a detailed description of the Bear category.

Bears

Strengths-Descriptors

Enthusiastic about fairies
Trusting
Cautious with strangers
Popular among bear fans
Influential when need be
Confident that fairies are real
Inspiring (in helping others see fairies)
Convincing, when they need something (like to go outside to go tee-tee)
Optimistic, that they will see a fairy every day
Cuddly
Devoted (especially to family and fairies)
Reliable (their actions are fairyly predictable)

The Emotion of the Bear

Bears' primary emotion is optimism, about fairies. Bears believe the "impossible" (fairies) can be seen, and will hold incredible optimism for the future sightings of fairies. This emotion will not always be grounded totally in data and facts, but in trust. Conversely, a person with low Bear tendencies will be more pessimistic and skeptical about fairies, requiring more hard evidence or facts before making determinations on such wonderful, marvelous things.

Weaknesses of a Bear
